HeightFast ("we", "us") operates heightfast.com. This page explains what data we handle and the choices you have. The short version: the height you enter is processed on your own device and never leaves your browser.

What this policy applies to

HeightFast does one thing — as a height converter it converts height between feet and inches, centimeters and meters and shows how the figure compares to growth percentiles and published averages. It converts through a single base unit — centimeters — so a feet-and-inches entry and a meter entry land on the same value, then looks the height up in growth-reference percentile tables. What follows concerns only that tool and the inputs involved in it.

In day-to-day use the tool works only from the height you enter, and it is usually opened for things like converting a height for a form that wants one unit. None of that reaches us, so none of it can be stored.

Your inputs

The tool runs entirely client-side. What you type is used locally and only locally: there is no server round-trip, no log line, and no record kept anywhere but on your own screen for as long as the page is open.

How we measure usage

We watch which of the HeightFast tools get used, in aggregate, so that effort goes where it is useful. That is the extent of it — no individual profile, and no analytics event ever includes the values you entered.

Health-related inputs

Figures such as weight, height, age, body-fat percentage or calorie targets can be sensitive. On this site they are treated as ordinary input: they stay in the browser tab and are never sent anywhere. If you clear the page, they are gone.

Security and data retention

No personal calculation data is held by us at any point, which makes retention a non-issue for the tool. The site itself is delivered over encrypted connections and kept up to date.

Children

The site is not designed for, or marketed to, children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Rights you can exercise

Wherever you are, you can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or erased, and object to how it is used. Given how little HeightFast collects, the answer will usually be short, but the right stands.

Updates to this page

HeightFast revises this page whenever the way it handles data changes; the "last updated" line at the top always shows the current version.

What is collected automatically

Our host and any analytics we run record routine request data — the kind every web server sees, such as IP address, user agent, referrer and which pages were opened. That data serves maintenance and abuse prevention; it is never combined with the values you enter.

Advertising, cookies and your choices

We set a cookie only to remember whether you have dismissed the cookie notice. Third-party advertising partners, including Google, may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can control personalized advertising in your browser settings or through Google's ad settings. Blocking cookies does not affect the tool: the calculation requires none.

Contact

To ask about privacy, or to exercise a right, the contact page is the way to get through.
